John Lennon was a famous English musician. He was one of the founders of The Beatles. then he gained fame for his political activism and pacifism. Some of his songs were adopted as symbols by the anti-war movement.He was shot by Mark David Chapman at the entrance of the building where he lived,The Dakota, in New York City on 8 December 1980.
